The 2011 F1 calendar has been revealed by the FIA with a record 20 races on the schedule. The Bahrain Grand Prix will be the first round of the season for the second year in a row. Meanwhile the season finale will be held at Interlagos in Brazil for the first time since 2008.
There will be no 13th team on the F1 grid in 2011. The World Motor Sport Council announced today that none of the applications met their criteria to fill the vacant place on the grid, meaning there will be a maximu mof 24 cars competing in Formula 1 next year.

ART Grand Prix has announced it will not pursue a place on the F1 grid in 2011, citing “unfavourable economic conditions”. The FIA is expected to announce next month who has won the 13th place in Formula 1 for 2011, taking the place of US F1. In a statement the team said:
